The Advanced IT Core (AITC), one of many Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (IndianaCTSI) Service Cores, at the IU School of Medicine (IUSM), assists researchers in using advanced information technologies provided by the Research Technologies (RT) division of University Information Technology Services (UITS).

As a liaison between researchers and RT services, the goal of this Core is to provide information technology solutions to problems confronted by IUSM research labs and partner in innovative approaches to medical research.

In particular, AITC helps researchers in Health Care and related sciences to overcome the challenges of:

  • Exponential growth and increasing complexity of research data
  • Insufficient computational power for analysis,
  • Need for robust and scalable applications for data management and analysis
  • Need for repositories for participation in national consortia
  • Securing electronic protected health information (ePHI)
  • Visualization of data or biological processes

Please feel free to:

The AITC, working in partnership with two of IUSM's other IT-oriented Cores, namely the Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Core for bioinformatics research and services, and the Biostatistics Core for data management and statistical services, provides a comprehensive IT framework that leverages IU's nationally recognized research cyberinfrastructure and services to support researchers.
